A Pod Named Kickback

This week, No Brakes Nu’ and GetFitWithJacq dive into a heavy but necessary conversation. The tragic passing of Young Noble from Tupac’s group, The Outlawz, hit close to home—especially for Nu, who reflects on the pain of losing someone who once inspired him not to give up. From that raw emotion, they shift into a powerful dialogue on mental health, deal breakers in relationships, and why standing on your non-negotiables matters.

They also break down the Diddy case, the murky lines between justice and vendettas, and the chaos of public opinion in the Black community. Plus, a heroic father who saved his daughter earns this week’s Nipsey Hussle Award.

This episode is about truth, pain, growth—and most importantly, holding on when life gets dark. Tap in, Kickbackers.

What is A Pod Named Kickback?

I’m No Brakes Nu’, host of A Pod Named Kickback. I spent 20 years as a rapper from DC who has appeared on 106 & Park, MTV’s Direct Effect and became a legend in DC and the DMV for selling my CD’s out of the trunk of my car and making fire music and music videos that watched like short movies. Never forget. I launched my internet radio show in April of 2012. The last few years I switched it to an official podcast and on this podcast I discuss the biggest stories in pop culture, politics, music, sex, and sports. Some weeks I find one idea I’d like to discuss and solely focus on that. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I invite some of the brightest, most engaging and entertaining minds I can find to have these discussions with me on my virtual kickback. Don’t tell anyone but sometimes I invite listeners on the podcast too. I record live at 7PM on Sunday nights on youtube. As I come up on my 12th year of edutaining you I only ask that you subscribe to the vibe and tell a friend to do so as well. #NoBrakes
